Meet The Founder
Paula Brown is an accomplished dancer, singer, actress, choreographer, certified ballet instructor, private coach, motivational speaker and author.
Paula is widely known for her credits in Broadway, television, film and music. Brown lives and works in Prince George's County, Maryland. Her artist residency and partnerships include The John F. Kennedy Center, Black Rock Center for the Arts, Center for Performing Arts and Creative Suitland.
She is a former dancer of the Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble. Brown's heart and dedication is in her Brown Ballerinas Global brand. The Brown Ballerinas dance company is currently in Prince George's County Maryland and South Africa. She has now included her Brown Ballerinas dancewear as a part of the brand.

GLOBAL COMPANY & PROGRAM AUDITION
Brown Ballerinas Global invites passionate young dancers to audition for our Global Company & Program. We are seeking talented individuals who are ready to be part of a transformative classical ballet experience — one that celebrates diversity, nurtures discipline, and uplifts every dancer's unique story.
If you are between the ages of 10–19 and have a love for ballet, we welcome you to submit a video audition showcasing your center work. This is your opportunity to train at a high level while becoming part of a supportive, inclusive global dance community.
Video submissions are due by May 30th at 6:00 PM.

BROWN BALLERINAS
GLOBAL SUMMER INTENSIVE
Join us in Washington, D.C. for the 2025 Brown Ballerinas Global Summer Intensive, running from June 23 to July 5. This two-week program offers dedicated dancers an opportunity to train with leading instructors, deepen their technique, and explore diverse cultural influences in ballet. The intensive program will conclude with a culminating performance on July 5, where dancers will showcase their growth and artistry on stage.

PRINCESS DANCE CAMP
Join us for the Princess Dance Camp, presented by Paula Brown Performing Arts Center! Designed for young dancers ages 3 to 10, this two-week camp runs from July 14 to 25 in Suitland, MD. With daily classes from 10 AM to 3 PM, dancers will explore ballet basics, creative movement, and performance skills — all while building confidence and making new friends. The camp concludes with a special performance on July 25 to showcase their progress on stage.


Ballet Beyond Borders
Step into the world of Brown Ballerinas Global as we journey through our 2025 Global Intensive in South Africa. From rigorous ballet training to unforgettable performances, this video captures the heart of our international program — where passion, discipline, and culture collide.
Follow our dancers as they train in Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth, connect through cultural exchange, and take to the stage for powerful culmination performances. This is more than ballet — it’s representation in motion, building confidence, community, and global artistry.
